This initiative proposes to turn a space that borders on the French Hill, Zameret Ha’Bira, Isawiya, Anata and Shu’afat neighborhoods into a city construction waste landfill, unparalleled in size and intended to be used throughout the span of several years. For the first time, this is a joint effort of the neighborhoods and the Village to fight for the quality of life in North Jerusalem. It is a struggle to eradicate further tensions between Arabs and Jews and prevent severe health hazards that affect us all in our area. To put it simply- a battle for clean Jerusalem air, free of dust and construction waste. The Chairman of the neighborhood administration, Eli Rosenfeld, and the Manager of the Administration, Naama Katz, who have officiated the meeting, have shown support and willingness to lead along with the action committee the struggle to protect the quality of life in the neighborhoods that will be exposed to this hazard.
